Hawaii Water has partnered with ATA Engineering to conduct a field survey and verification of our wastewater system within the Pukalani service area. This 4-8-week effort begins on June 1, and will provide us with information that will allow us to make system improvements that will benefit our community for years to come. In some cases, access to pipeline easements located on private properties may be necessary to complete the survey. If access to your property is required, we will contact you in advance to coordinate entry.

Although we have experienced intermittent rain showers recently, flow levels in the Honokohau stream remain consistently short of the State of Hawaii Commission of Water Resource Management’s Interim In-stream Flow Standards. As such, we must remain in Tier 3 conservation status, or 60% reduction of normal, non-potable water use and irrigation. More prolonged and frequent rainfall will be needed before we are able to relax current conservation requirements.
