For the third consecutive year, the Great Place to Work® Institute has certified California Water Service Group as a Great Place to Work®. The designation reflects the utility’s commitment to employees in its California, Hawaiʻi, New Mexico, and Washington subsidiaries.
The Great Place to Work® certification includes two parts: first, a Culture Audit© about the company’s programs and practices on hiring, internal communication, developmental opportunities, training, recognition, and diversity; and second, a Trust Index© sent to all full-time employees, seeking their feedback about their experience with the company. California Water Service, Hawaiʻi Water Service, New Mexico Water Service, and Washington Water Service employees were asked their opinions about leadership, credibility, respect, fairness, pride, camaraderie, and other key traits of their workplace. Scores were then benchmarked against top workplaces in the United States to determine the company’s results.

Kropelnicki. “When we provide quality, service, and value to our employees, they can in turn help us effectively deliver on our promise to also provide quality, service, and value to our customers, communities, and stockholders.”
The 2018 designation certifies California Water Service Group and its subsidiaries as a Great Place to Work® for one year. Fortune magazine’s annual Best 100 Companies to Work For® is compiled from among the companies certified as a Great Place to Work®.
