Due to mechanical malfunctions affecting our local groundwater wells, our remaining wells are stretched to meet water demand. As such, we must require our Kukio customers to limit any non-essential water use until repairs can be completed. Please pause all outdoor irrigation this week, as upcoming rainstorms beginning Wednesday will help naturally irrigate lawn and landscaping.
Our primary objectives are to maintain water quality and sufficient supply for fire protection. We ask everyone to conserve water and do their part in being good stewards of our limited resources. We expect that repairs on one of the wells will be completed in about a week, easing the conservation requirement.
